HAVOC (2025)

Havoc is a movie directed by Gareth Evans starring Tom Hardy. This particular sequence was handled by a team at Axis Studios, where I worked on environments. This street was created entirely in 3D, except for the pedestrians and smoke elements.

The plan was to make the Chinatown street feel dirty, gritty, and chaotic. Creating a realistic sense of randomness requires a lot of manual work and was challenging to deliver within the given time frame — especially considering our team was rather small and had to organically react to the client’s feedback until the last moment.

My job was mostly focused on the left third of the screen — modeling and surfacing the hotel building, utility pole, and powerlines stretching toward the back of the street. I also made minor surfacing tweaks here and there — the pickup truck, the building on the right side, and the wet map for the road.
